Woke
up to fog but just knew it would blow over. Grey skies matched the
grey 'gators just off shore across from us. There were two big ones,
just eyes and tops of their heads. They were a bit squared off, and
we hoped for something.
The Wisconsin couple across from us said they
saw a 'gator take a goose in another year. We also met a couple and
their small kids, so cute. They are photographers here for the Arts
and Crafts show nearby this weekend.
We
went on the fishing pier and saw two more baby 'gators. Holy smokes.
We
called to book the safari boat tour at 2:00 and hung around enjoying
people, the sun, and a bike ride. We headed for the Five Rivers
Center for the 2:00 boat tour.
There
were about 20 of us on a pontoon boat. It was gorgeous: sun, calm
waters, and loads of birds:
Then
loads of 'gators. Big ones this time (7 or 8 feet), very visible (and
sleepy!):
Back
home to dinner, yet one more 'gator from the pier (he was very awake
and swimming very fast):
AND an
amazing sunset:
AND
American Idol.
We're
crispy from the sun but very happy. Off to Mississippi tomorrow.
Here's
a view OF my chair (and cute husband and great campsite):

Great pictures! What great travelers you are!
